Make sure to have a reservation 24 hours before the date of your insurance license exam. Visit or call at (888) 293-4222 to register for your exam. You must pay the examination fee of $100 at the time of your reservation.
Prior to the exam make sure you bring two forms of government-issued current identifications: primary and secondary ID.
Determined by the Mississippi Insurance Department, for Life only, the passing score for Accident and Health or Sickness only or Life, Accident & Health combined is 65% while for all other examinations it’s 70%.
Once you have passed your state exam, you are now eligible to apply for your insurance license. After application and background check your license will be governmentally issued and you will be assigned an NPN number.
Licenses in the state of Mississippi last a minimum of 18 months and a maximum term of 2 years expiring on the last day of the licensee’s birth month. It’s recommended to renew your license up to 67 days before its expiration date by visiting here. For each line of authority renewals for the producer cost $100 and $ 25 is charged for the technology fee.
Any resident licensees for 2 years license period should complete 24 hours of continuing education including 3 hours of ethics courses. Individuals holding licenses in effect for 13-18 months the CE are reduced to 12 hours without ethics courses.
